When we first started the company in 1988, we began by supplying chemicals to the agricultural sector. Our knowledge of this sector has grown over the past 30 years and we have a deep understanding of the specific requirements faced by the agricultural industry.
The chemicals we supply for use in this sector include:
Chemical formula HCO2H – a colourless solution with a strong odour
A versatile chemical mainly used within the agricultural industry as a preservative and additive in animal feed and silage. Also used by within the textile industry and for adhesives, plastics, rubber, construction materials, paints and as a surface agent.
Also known as aqua fortis, nitric acid is commonly used in electrochemistry and fertiliser production. With uses ranging from the manufacture of pyrotechnics and dyes, it can also be utilised in steel etching, photoengraving and within cleaning products.
Chemical formula H3PO4– a colourless, odourless solution
Also known as orthophosphoric acid, phosphoric acid is used in a wide range of products such as agricultural feed and fertilisers, soft drinks, dyes and soaps. It can also be used in dentistry and cosmetics. The food industry uses it to sharpen tastes in sugar-based food products and to act as a preservative as it slows bacterial and mould growth.
Chemical formula NaClO – a yellowish liquid with a distinctive smell of chlorine
A versatile chemical primarily used as a bleaching or disinfecting agent, sodium hypochlorite is used in the manufacture of paper and pulp, non-pesticidal agricultural chemicals, plasticisers and corrosion inhibitors, as well as commercial bleaches and laundry aids.
Chemical formula H3NSO3 – a colourless water-soluble compound
Also known as aminosulphonic acid, sulphamic or sulfamic acid is commonly used as a de-scaling and cleaning agent. This chemical has many applications, particularly in the pharmaceutical industry. Used as a catalyst for the esterification process, it also has some uses in dye manufacturing.
Chemical formula H2SO4 – a clear, colourless solution with no distinguishing odour
Sulphuric acid, also known as sulfuric acid, has many uses and is a key substance in the chemical industry. With a wide range of applications, including various cleaning agents, household drain cleaners, and electrolyte in lead-acid batteries. Within the chemical industry the principle uses include chemical synthesis, mineral processing, the manufacture of fertilizer, oil refining and wastewater processing.
